No

I got word through the YesWorld mailing list this afternoon that the Yes 40th anniversary tour has been canceled due to Jon's poor health.  Guess I can stop fretting about how much the tickets would cost.

Ambrosia's coming to town in late July, but that doesn't really make up for losing a Yes show.  Bah.

That's like being offered sauerkraut when you're really in the mood for chocolate...they're both good flavors in their own right, but not really amenable to substitution.

Jon's poor health? Do you happen to know what's going on with him?

Here's what the email said:
Yes frontman and founding member Jon Anderson was admitted to the hospital last month after suffering a severe asthma attack. He has now been diagnosed with acute respiratory failure and was told by doctors this weekend that he needs to rest and not work for a period of at least six months or suffer further health complications.

[info]deathdolly: How about this?

Well nothing like having tix to the following shows:
Sat. Iron Maiden
Sun: The Cure
Tuesday: Peter Murphy

...and having a damn staph infection that prevents ya from attending. Wah!

But I was looking forward to YES. Last time I saw them was back in 1983 when they had that "comeback" radio hit, "Owner of a Lonely Heart," which I hated, btw.

Lets hope Jon gets better, yes?

There may still be time to grab a piece of The Cheese. We'll be at the Boston show.
